Masks in Africa typically made with wood, pottery, textiles, copper and bronze, represented spirits of animals or ancestors. They were used to honor people in a symbolic way. I like these because they're are almost always so cohesive. Even when one has more detail or design, they still manage to remain cohesive with the simple pieces. And even when one has a lot of detail, it is still able to remain simple. I like that they're cohesive but never the same.
